What I Provide

I am a trained copyeditor with a background in education, the arts, and small business/nonprofits. In 2020 I completed the professional Copyediting Certificate Program at UCSD, so I am knowledgeable on the latest standards and practices in the field. Whatever your needs, my editing will elevate your writing, conveying your ideas clearly and elegantly to the reader.

As your copyeditor I will:

- fine tune your language, making sure it is grammatically correct and well-worded

- fact-check the text, sources, and graphic elements, and ensure terminology is correct and consistent

- maintain your unique style and voice

I offer three tiers of service based on the conventions of light, medium and heavy copyediting. A light edit focuses mainly on correcting mechanics and grammar, as well as fact-checking and ensuring proper terminology. Medium and heavy edits include all the services of a light edit, but go progressively more in-depth to address structure and the “flow” of the text.

To start the editing process, reach out to me with a description of the project and your needs, and we’ll set up an initial meeting.
