 From about 2020-25 I focused almost exclusively on creating small analog collages, using my own hand-printed designs, found paper, and experimental techniques. Overall I was interested in exploring connections I saw between the form of written language, forms found in nature,  and the proliferation of mass-produced disposable print media. In some pieces I made use of abstracted text and symbols, in others I created complex organic structures or I altered found paper materials.  

Much of this material was gathered on walks along a local urban bike path, where I observed printed items like candy wrappers and lottery tickets mingling with colonizing plants. Part of my interest was in bridging this natural-artificial gap - analog collage, with its ability to precisely integrate premade materials, was the ideal medium.
